The Global Forum for Literacy is now accepting submission for an anthology called:
POETRY ON WATER with the theme, INDENTURE.

Exposing the submission, one Fiano Khan noted: indentured laborers/slaves, the Girmitiyas, the Jahajis have left an indelible legacy of their indefatigable spirit following many generations globally since they left the shores of India. This is a call to all poets to submit poetry to be included in the ANTHOLOGY.

Writers are therefore advised to submit at least two poems to be included in the anthology of poetry. Writers are to also include a copy of a photo/picture of any item of heritage and cultural significance which one may have in his or her possession.

According to the notice, this anthology celebrates the legacy of the arts, culture, traditions and spice that have been left for the generations that followed indenture. If you have learnt poetry on the laps of your grandparents, you are specially invited to submit those too.

Also, provide a two sentence reference of 30 lines, edited and written in 12pt, Times New Roman.

Previously published poetry will not be accepted as all rights reverts to the poet once published. Simultaneous submissions will also not be accepted as well. Poets included in the anthology will be allowed to purchase the anthology at a 50% discount (in South Africa) and for other global writers, it can be purchased online.

Closing date for submissions is the 30th day of June, 2018. Writers are advised to submit as soon as possible as submissions will not be accepted after the closing date.

globalforum4literacy@gmail.com
